WALKING TRAILS

In Parque de Noudar you can take different walks through our signposted trails adapted for all ages and tastes. Did you know, for example, that the Noudar Nature Park is one of the 300 outstanding geo-sites in Portugal?
Ask us for the route map, rent some binoculars and a compass and venture out into the territory.

LETTER OF COURSES

PR1 – MONTE DA COITADINHA

• Length – 1.5Km (circular)
• Duration standing – 30min
• MTB duration – 15min
• Duration noucar – 10min

In the vicinity of Monte you can discover how the people of Barranquilla lived. Inhale the aroma of flowers, listen to the tinkling of the cows’ bells in the silence and be dazzled by the landscape that can be seen from the threshing floor. Visit the Gardens in the park.

PR 2 – PORTO FOOTWEAR

• Duration standing – 80min
• MTB duration – 30min

Discover the Múrtega stream, which runs through riparian thickets of oleander, large pink flowers with a mild scent. Walk on the pebbles and discover the sounds of running water.

PR 3 – ROAD

Departing from Castelo de Noudar, take the millennial shale road that once led to Moura. Along the way, look out for birds of prey, wildflowers or the steep valley of the Múrtega stream.

PR 4 – VOLTA DO MANGO

• MTB duration – 20min

Going down the dirt road, which leaves Castelo de Noudar, observe the narrow curve that the River Ardila makes here and which gave its name to this route. Regain strength in the freshness of Fonte da Figueira, the ideal spot to have a picnic and rest.

PR 5 – WATER MILL

• Length – 3.8Km (circular)
• Duration standing – 80min

Among woods of holm oak and wild olive, discover one of the water mills on the Múrtega stream: the Moinho do Porto da Vinha and its dam. Built to withstand the force of the river’s periodic floods, they served to produce flour – the essential basis of Mediterranean food. Discover the riparian fauna and flora.
